INTERVIEW: Lemonade (True Panther Sounds), Today, 4:30pm
By Giovanna Stallings-Blanche posted Dec 09, 2010 at 04:41 PM

INTERVIEW: Lemonade (True Panther Sounds / Brooklyn) at 4:30pm!

"From their genesis as an improvisational project within San Francisco’s experimental dance music scene, Lemonade grew to become an effervescing mutation of current music’s explorations and antipodes; their early music drew from new-agey noise, grimey synths, Liquid Liquid rhythms and ecstastic 90′s house incantations. An early experience with Lemonade felt like a gloopy tantalizing pile of Nickelodeon slime; a warm one, pleasantly oozing over their audience’s unified sweating body."

Lemonade will be playing at the Electric Pickle this Saturday. Listen in for chances to win free tickets.

Graffiti Wannabes Vandalize Wynwood and The Vagabond
By Laura (of Miami) Sutnick posted Dec 03, 2010 at 02:37 PM

Over the past couple of years Miami's been blessed with an influx of amazing murals throughout our art ghetto, which have made locals more and more proud of their home town. Primary Flight, The Goldman Group and other organizations/ venues have treated us to a Wynwood wonderland created by artists such as Shepard Fairey, Barry McGee, Invader, Ron English, and Kenny Scharf amongst others. Jerry Stecca, Serge, Ahol, and Locastro are some of  our local favorites as well. It's true that lots of these guys have their roots in graffiti but they've always done it with taste and class.
