Their approach attitude, and devotion make them one of the most needed and effective volunteer groups in South Florida. This means we want your stories, articles, and drawings, thoughts on politics, media, and culture, anything from short fiction to expository works to photo or grafitti or cartoon artwork. Brass, Bounce, and Empowerment: Sounds Imported from New Orleans

Where y'at, Miami!  This is Your Boy Kev and I'm fresh off the plane from five days in New Orleans.  I went there to present a paper at an academic-like music conference and met with some great artists from that amazing city.  I sat down for BBQ shrimp and pizza with bounce artist Fly Boy Keno whose remix of Lloyd's "Lay It Down" is the biggest hit in New Orleans right now.  DJ Rusty Lazer also showed me some southern hospitality in his Swoon-painted up apartment by the St. Roch neighborhood, where he runs Saturday nights at St. Roch Tavern.  It's really the best place in town to dance and find yo'self a lil freak on a weekend night.
