Miami Music Project on ‘Not For Profit’

By Hyan Freitas posted Aug 04, 2012 at 11:03 AM

Enide and Abiram of the Miami Music Project talk about their organization's goal of not only investing in better music education, but it's investment in a better society, today at 2pm.

The Miami Music Project isn't just about churning out professional musicians.  As Enide and Abiram tell us in our interview, the organization looks beyond the musical education children in Miami are receiving and focuses on the social benefits.  They call it "investing in society."

They accomplish this lofty goal using a framework of music education called "El Sistema", which originated in Venezuela.  More on this, the yucky FCAT, and their personal stories today at 2pm.
