By SpinnZinn posted Apr 25, 2013 at 03:41 PM

With only two 3 shows left on WVUM, you're not going to want to miss this one!

Alien Signal memeber Maurizio Saez opening up the night, followed by a founding memebr of Miami Underground Movement Rod B. Closing out the show tonight we have Orly Aycart

Maurizo Saez

"Music is the universal language. It brings everyone together. It does not matter where you come from, who you are or how much you have. Music transcends all barriers. When you hear my music on the radio, I want to create an image of a nightclub that you want to be in, with people that you want to be with. Even if that perfect nightclub does not exist, I want you to experience it in your mind."

With 31 years of spinning, Maurizio Saez has captivated audiences all over the world with his unique, pulsating and explosive sets. By combining the synthesized sounds of electronic music with the beats of Afro-Cuban drums and the mystical vocals of Santeria (a spiritual religion of the earth), Maurizio Saez succeeds in blending the music of two different cultures and two different times, creating a dark contemporary sound that is seductive, primal and full of energy. From techno, Minimal, to tribal house, his distinctive sound commands the dance floor wherever he goes.

As the founder and music director of AlienSignal inc., Maurizio Saez seeks to bring the latest and most groundbreaking sounds in electronic dance music to his listeners. Known for discovering new talent and trendsetting sounds, he was among the first to bring out the sounds of Detroit techno, Chicago House and European trance from the underground scene. Throughout his career, he has managed several successful radio stations, including Alien Signal 94.3FM, which operated from 1989 to 1996. Currently, he is in the process of creating a new internet radio station "Miami grooves," which will provide multiple channels and genres.

As a talented composer and producer of ambient, techno and Deep House music, Maurizio Saez started to experiment DJing at the age of 10 in 78'. From the teenage clubs of the 1980s to the Full Moon Parties of the late 1990s and the clubs today, he has helped to mold and create a unique "Miami sound." From Spain, Mexico, Colombia, to San Francisco and New York, he has played in major venues all over the world, including play in the gay circuit.

On his spare time, Maurizio Saez likes to operate his amateur radio (HAM Radio), where he speaks to people from all over the world. He believes radio is mystical and likes to tell a story of a boy, who when asked by his father why he does not like television, he responds "because radio has better images."

Orly Aycart

DJ Orly Aycart from AlienSignal A.K.A DJ Meaning “Music is my passion. It is my drug. When I spin, I want my music to take people to another place…a place where they can forget their problems, enjoy life and have a good time—even if it is just for an evening.” DJ Orly Aycart has been spinning his tunes in Florida and South America since 1996. Although his hypnotic trance and rhythmic grooves are his signature sound, he loves to play everything that is on vinyl or CD. From the peaceful sounds of ambiance, to the pounding bass of progressive house, to the dark sounds of tribal, Orly’s unique mixes delight clubbers and Vybe Radio listeners alike. As one of the producers and resident DJs of the Full Moon Parties, Orly helped to shape the party scene in Miami in the late 1990s by organizing and playing at raves with crowds of over 5,000 people. Orly has also been involved in pioneering internet radio as a 6 year resident of The Womb and Aliensignal Radio, and recently signing up with the # 1 internet radio station in the world 1CLUB.FM. As a DJ and audio engineer his imagination was the only limit. Since then, there has been no turning back. Today, Orly produces deep rhythms and luscious grooves for everyone’s pleasure. Orly’s inspiration is his mother, who raised him by herself and taught him the importance of being a good person. His hobby is collecting rare comic books.
