This week we have Dj Ology mixing live in the studio following an opening set by host SpinnZinn.

DJ OLOGY was born to make music a priority in his life. His father, a seasoned percussionist in Cuba. Throughout his schooling, he learned how to play in orchestra, was invited to sing in choir, and tried taking some keyboard and piano lessons as a child, but it still wasn’t enough to fulfill his passion and desire for music. He shadowed his DJ mentor, Mike Red, who he grew up watching how he would climb his way towards success and sonic perfection in his mixing and music, becoming a resident at legendary nightclub, “The Edge” during the Fever parties in the early 90s, which landed him to open for Afrika Bambaata & Soul Sonic force, one of the grandfathers of electronic music today.

DJ OLOGY was first taken notice when he had the idea of keeping the dance music scene alive on his former radio show, The Burrow first with Radiate FM in 2003, supporting international superstars like Max Graham, Tom Novy, Yousef, Wally Lopez, Chris Lake, Paul Woolford, and Saeed Younan as well as local recording artists such as Willie Morales, DMS 12, Parantula, Armand Pena & Alexander Orue. His performance on the decks first took notice on guest appearances and events at Nikki Beach, Amika, Flavor, Club Rain, Discotekka and Pawnshop, but his talents truly shined when he took Miami by storm at the Ultra Music Festival in 2006 & 2007, performing for four years consecutively.

DJ OLOGY addictive sound does not pay tribute to any specific groove of house has a particular taste to deep Minimal Tech House, Progressive Tribal, Electro & Fidget House. DJ OLOGY is always keeping his sound fresh, cutting edge and full of surprise.

Catch DJ OLOGY on Bassment Sessions, Thursday from 10pm-12am following an opening set by host SpinnZinn 9pm-10pm
