Bassment Sessions Jan 27,2011 with guest: Larry Baaaam!

By SpinnZinn posted Jan 27, 2011 at 01:25 PM

This week on the show we bring you Minimal's newest star: Larry Baaaam!

He's been hitting the top 10 on Beatport's Minimal charts the last few months, and we have  him here on WVUM!

Due to sports, tune in this week at our new time 11pm-2am to catch quality house and minimal music!

Bit by bit you can hear the echo of my alias. Just this morning, when a party girl whispered my name into the mic and hummed Larry BAAAAM! with a sexy voice, I realized yet again that this is a dream which isn’t granted to everybody.

When my first stubbles began to sprout, my hormones went crazy and just like any other young man, I started searching for the meaning of life. I searched for it and I found it. My calling – my Holy Grail. In March of 2000 I discovered my passion for turntables at the HDJ in Hamburg, Germany. My pilgrimage was to start right then and there.

Day and night I was practicing on my first Jaytec system, which painfully put every touch into action so that I was eventually forced to destroy the set thing. Ever since then, I see ideas everywhere and try to put them in motion elegantly by incorporating them into my shows. Growing up with Hip Hop and feeling the pulse of fast Techno beats at the same time definitely has its advantages.

From the HDJ, I went to Maxim Plaza, a renowned club in Altona (Hamburg). I was able to get many people interested in my shows and it didn’t take long before I made it to the Kiez, the world-famous nightlife and entertainment district in Hamburg. Since then, I have brought a pure and genuine atmosphere to every club I have performed in – in 4 different countries.

But that was not to be the end. As everybody knows, every sausage has two ends. As a guest DJ in large clubs, I quickly came to realize that I am capable of a lot more and that the interaction between the DJ and the crowd is key. My
pilgrimage will not end. Here I am…………. Get on!
