Bassment Sessions: July 14—->We’re going to SPACE

By SpinnZinn posted Jul 14, 2011 at 11:25 AM

Join us this week as we bring on the show a very special guest: Dsan Powell. Resident at The Techno Loft at Space, Dsan is no stranger to the techno scene!

Tune in tonight 9pm-12am to catch Bassment Sessions as Dsan rips us a new one along side host SpinnZinn.

In 2000, Dsan left Medellin Colombia and came to settle in one of the most exciting cities in the world, Miami, FL USA. Soon thereafter, he broke out in the electronic music scene implementing all past experiences and knowledge from his native home. Inspired from his childhood where he spent hours playing and exploring electronic keyboards and acoustic guitars, as well as, from all the emerging techno artists during his adolescence, Dsan developed a series of skills and music concepts that provide him with sufficient talent to explore, understand, and control any dance floor.

Resident at one of the most important venues in Miami, Club Space, and known for his creativity and preciseness behind the decks, Dsan Powell has become the fastest upcoming talent in Miami’s music industry in recent time. In 2005, Dsan’s sets were shaking Space Miami’s dance floors on Friday nights as he moved the masses inside the big and dark main room, charges of bass lines along with moody grooves invaded the atmosphere of every amazing summer night.

After a short and successful residency at Space, he moved to Nocturnal Miami in 2007. It was not difficult to see how the Nocturnal Terrace became one of the most exciting venues for almost a year. At the end of 2007 he decided to give nightclub shows a break to focus on the music production side.

Dsan returned to the scene as resident of the “We Love Techno” events. The events hosted many techno legends and introduced a new culture in the vice city. The vibe and the atmosphere of these events generated a massive movement, making Dsan one of the pioneers in Miami’s Techno scene.

Currently Dsan has embarked into the world of music production. He has had successful back to back releases on Akbal Music, BDR Music and petFood; and has forthcoming original material and remixes on labels such as SK Supreme, High Definition Records, Azari Records, and more. Apart from his busy studio schedule, Dsan continues his residency at SPACE MIAMI in The Techno Loft playing alongside the world’s techno masters.

There is no doubt this hot newcomer is ready to take his step onto the international stage!
