Chris MacKay

This artist diminishes the clique of your typical Dj / Producer. In a world now plagued with sync'd computer Dj's, political promoters, and way too many self proclaimed producers, Chris Mackay just wants to write good music and maybe, just maybe get a chance to perform it for you. This isn't another third person biography babbling about how flawless his mixing skills are or how musically inclined he became due to his mother playing disco to him in the womb. This is simply a written invitation to learn about a guy who loves his music enough to commit his life to it. From carrying other Dj's record bags to interning in local studios just to learn the art of sound, Chris has been part of the Miami club scene in one form or another since he was 15. Always fascinated with the South Beach night life combined with many Dj "friends" already perusing careers, it was just a matter of time until Chris got bitten by the cleverly named "house bug". 4/4 beats and swinging basslines was his calling, and it has since been his unconditional passion and his divine curse. Dedication to finding quality toons, endless studio sessions and his ability to cast his charming wit into his live sets are the only reasons Chris Mackay has grinded and galvanized his name into whats left of the underground house scene. He relishes the opportunity to showcase you the sound he has struggled so meticulously to achieve both through his groove driven joints or deep dubby sets. Commercialism need not apply.
