Bassment Sessions September 13: Dsan Powell

By SpinnZinn posted Sep 12, 2012 at 10:47 PM

Join us this week as we welcome The Techno Loft's resident Dsan Powell!

Tue in to find out what all the hype is about, nothing but good tune starting at 9pm.

“Work with passion; always stay humble” Dsan
Baptized on the mean streets of Medellin, Colombia, Dsan found his way to one of the true techno meccas of the world, Miami. In 2000, with little more than a beat to his heart, Dsan took the knowledge and experience acquired from his native land and helped to intensify an already lively scene at the southern tip of Florida, where Miami seems to break away from the rest of the world. The dance floor can be a fickle beast, but is no match for a man versed in acoustic guitars, electronic keyboards, and a heightened sense of humanity urged on by a universal desire for dance. And dance they did.
Some clubs need no introduction, and Space in Miami is one of them. One of the most well-known and respected of all techno venues, Space has been proud to call Dsan their Resident since 2008. If we need to tell you more about what Dsan and Space Miami have meant to the scene, you clearly haven't been doing your homework. Dsan has performed in a few great cities around the world, including Berlin, Prague, Lima, San Jose, New York, Atlanta, Punta Cana and Medellin.
Currently Dsan has embarked into the world of music production. He has had successful back to back releases on Akbal Music, Half Seas Over, SK Supreme, Wehppa Music, High Definition Records and petFood; and has forthcoming original material and remixes on some of the hottest record labels. Apart from his busy studio schedule, Dsan continues his residency at SPACE MIAMI in The Techno Loft playing alongside the world’s techno masters.
The life of a true techno legend could never be complete without a voyage to the holy land that is Berlin. Infamous the world-over for minimal beats and endless nights, Dsan recently spent three months living in Berlin, cutting his teeth and brushing his face with the raw energy that is the Berlin techno scene. Playing at legendary clubs like KaterHolzig (formerly Bar 25) and embarking upon many new productions, Berlin is a city that has crept into the very soul of Dsan, creating a new form of beast, forging music ready for the masses, cherished by the loyal, and sure to make feet around the world just a little more sore, and a hell of a lot happier."
