It is my esteemed pleasure to welcome as a guest a Miami Dade College literature professor known amongst many for his passion for the counterculuture of the 1950s, Michel De Benedictis. The show tonight shall encompass the influence of bebop on the post-world war II beat movement with a recording of the 1982 Jack Kerouac Conference concert at Naropa University, recorded readings by Jack Kerouac, and scintillating discussions. I am eager to share the experience I had in his classroom with WVUM listeners.
