Reel Big Fish Spring Concert

By Ryan Vasta posted May 02, 2014 at 02:35 PM

Ryan Vasta gives his take on Reel Big Fish's performance at last week's Canes Carnival.

Veteran ska-rockers Reel Big Fish came to campus for this year’s Canes Carnival. Amongst food trucks, inflatables, and carnival rides, the band put on a great party to end the school year.

Front-man Aaron Barrett was full of energy, running all across the stage and jamming with his band mates. Reel Big Fish played a set full of their hits such as “Sell Out” and “She Has a Girlfriend Now.” They also played a few covers, one most notably being “Brown Eyed Girl.” The set was full of life between the catchy guitar riffs and thundering horns. The band ended with their take on “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” to the delight of everyone in the audience.

Reel Big Fish brought a great vibe to this year’s Canes Carnival and was a great way to celebrate the end of the school year.
