What’s Cool This Weekend - March 7-9

By Jordan Weil posted Mar 07, 2014 at 01:14 PM

Here at UM, we're just kicking off our spring break. Kick it with us and see what's to do this weekend!

Friday March 7

Thatddeus Phillips “17 Border Crossings”

8pm - 10pm

The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse, 404 NW 26 Street, Miami, FL 33127

Prolific theater artist, Thaddeus Phillips weaves together real adventures of international border crossings into a dramatic examination of imaginary lines, arbitrary passports and curious customs. 17 Border Crossings explores a world opened up by the fall of the Berlin Wall on 11/9/89 and sealed off by the events of 9/11/01. A seasoned world traveler and wildly inventive artist, Phillips embarks on new territory by stripping the stage bare to create a deceptively simple stage voyage that takes audiences to the frontiers of Bosnia, Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, Bali, Czech Republic, Israel, Jordan and Mexico.
