By Natasha Mijares posted Oct 01, 2013 at 01:30 AM

Here are our picks of the musical acts that will be playing at III Points on Oct 3-5 and don't miss your chance to win an all access backstage pass on EKL Thursday 7-9 PM!

So you’re planning on going to III Points, ay?

Here is a guide to help you mostly through the music portion of this Music, Art, and Technology Festival!

First of all, there will be a III Points Kick Off Special Thursday 7-9 PM on Electric Kingdom Live (EKL) where we will be talking about what's happening and who's playing as well as a huge all access back stage pass giveaway. Be sure to stay tuned for that!

Before you get your feet moving, get your mind rumbling with the Strangeways Zine Release which will feaure a myriad of Miami artists coming together in printed form. It well be held at the Tvvinhaus Headquarters. Tvvinhaus is an artist collective that curated the art portion of III Points and will be showcasing installations throught the festival. Look out for these three crazy cats!

Now it’s time to get down to some funky beats! Bask in the melodic beauty of Miami dance floor titans Dude Skywalker  and Pirate Stereo. They will be sure to get you going so you can start riding the waves of Aussi electro pop group Miami Horror! This will be the bands third time in Miami, so give them a reason to continue coming back for more!

Next up are some of the station’s favorite locals! These guys have been around the block and will ensure some fresh tunes! Jean Jacket, Lil Daggers ,and Millionyoung, start off the night and Afrobeta and Legs Benedct will be sure to end it with a bang!

Vinyl Disco anyone? Juan Maclean  is another staple at the station and he will be the star of a Euro filled night with DAT POLITICS from France and Molly Nilsson from Germany.

Get ready for a full day and night of activity, it’s the last day so make it count!

Start your day off right at “Producing with Produce”: a Farmers Market in Gigi’s parking lot!

Then, hear music mavens such as WVUM alum Laura of Miami and Lolo from Sweat Records discuss the state of the Miami music scene at “Musically Speaking.”

Get ready to meld art and music together with a screening of Allison Shulnik’s work followed by a set by Austin Paul, who recently played on Locals Only!

Finally, end your night with a double dosage of fun with YACHT at Cafeina followed by Point Blank at Mana Production Village which will be blazing with the seductive beats of Oscar G and Lazaro Casanova ( together known as Futro) who debuted their collaboration on Electric Kingdom Live, along with tech gods Jacques Greene and Koreless. Oh, and as if that wasn’t enough, James Murphy and Jaime XX will leave you raging and vibing, respectively.

See ya there!
