On Friday @ 1PM, Wes and Michael will be joined by the UM's College Democrats President Gaurav Dihman to discuss the U.S's drop in Press Freedom Index following 2011, The Occupy Year. The eruption of the Occupy movement in September launched a battle between the government and the governed that America has not seen in decades. Needless to say covering the protests of the 99% have been a favorite for topic for reports. But how police and public officials have handled reporters and protestors has caused Reporters Without Borders to drop U.S' Press Freedom Index. Michael and Wes will also uncover an interview with Egyptian Ambassador Sameh Shoukry, who stopped by the University of Miami to discuss Egypt's Democracy and the Arab Spring.

COUNTERPOINT: Ascension of Kim-Jong Un

On Friday @ 1pm, Our Counterpoint hosts will discuss the current change of power in North Korea. The dawn of 2012 has also seen the rise of a new leader for North Korea, Kim-Jong Un. For the past decade America has had there eyes set on the reign of Kim-Jong Ill especially during the late dictators nuclear pursuits (similar to Iran today). On December 30th, the decade came to an end and the reign of Kim-Jong Un saw it's inauguration with the welcoming of a new year. Jessica Zucker will join on-air to discuss what the rise of a new dictator means for the U.S and the world.
