June 19 @ 11pm, COUNTERPOINT WVUM's Political Talk show will be speaking with Former Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Financial Institutions and current professor at the University of Michigan Michael S. Barr. Our co-hosts will be speaking with Assistant Secretary Barr about his experiences in Washington from being an advisor for President Clinton and Former Secretary of Treasury Robert Rubin, to being called back to Washington in 2009 by President Obama to help solve the current state of the economy facing Washington. The interview will focus specifically on the Dodd-Frank Act and Assistant Secretary Barr' s role as one of the bill's architects. The Dodd-Frank Act is called the largest financial system overhaul since the New Deal, and President Obama has even said, " This reform will help foster innovation..."
