INTERVIEW: Jon Appleton + Max Mathews, Thursday 7PM on Electric Kingdom

Catch a very special interview on Thursday at 7PM with Jon Appleton and Max Mathews, pioneers of electronic music. At 7:30PM, Aramis of Poplife will be DJing!

Jon Appleton is a composer & teacher whose work is referred to as programmatic electronic. When he worked at Dartmouth College, he established one of the first electronic music studios in the United States. Check out one of his compositions here. Max Mathews studied electrical engineering at the California Institute of Technology and at MIT. When he worked at Bell Labs, he wrote MUSIC, the first widely-used program for sound engineering. 

On Saturday, they will be playing the final concert together as part of SEAMUS 2011 National Conference at the Frost School of Music.
