Bassment Sessions Guest July 15: Dj Ology
By SpinnZinn posted Jul 12, 2010 at 10:32 PM

This week we have Dj Ology mixing live in the studio following an opening set by host SpinnZinn.
Bassment Sessions, every Thursday from 9pm-12am

DJ OLOGY was born to make music a priority in his life. His father, a seasoned percussionist in Cuba. Throughout his schooling, he learned how to play in orchestra, was invited to sing in choir, and tried taking some keyboard and piano lessons as a child, but it still wasn’t enough to fulfill his passion and desire for music. He shadowed his DJ mentor, Mike Red, who he grew up watching how he would climb his way towards success and sonic perfection in his mixing and music, becoming a resident at legendary nightclub, “The Edge” during the Fever parties in the early 90s, which landed him to open for Afrika Bambaata & Soul Sonic force, one of the grandfathers of electronic music today.

The Eh Team! on Electric Kingdom!: Thursday, July 15th, 7-9pm
By Amber Robertson posted Jul 12, 2010 at 09:21 AM

Catch DJ’s Ess and Emm live on the Voice!! Thursday, July 15th from 7-9pm. Originally, hailing from both coasts of Canada, 12 years ago, these once former snowbirds flew south for the winter and now as flamingos, they have never looked back. While carving out their own niches in the Miami scene, fate would have them meet. Eager to be inspired by all ranges of art, design and fashion, these partners in crime, flair and reputation gain inspiration from a variety of sounds from electro to indie, to italo disco. You’ll find this pair of misfits at underground hotspots like The Vagabond, Cafeina and Bardot in Miami’s Wynwood district, or featuring their parlor tricks, keen fashion sense and unapologetic attitudes at hot ticket fashion and design events such as Gen Art. Wherever they are, their sound is stylish and the scene is contagious.

Lady Daydream (Muy Tremendo Mix) gets the music video treatment
By Giovanna Stallings-Blanche posted Jul 05, 2010 at 03:23 PM

Check out this music video created by cool guy roommates Daltn (born and raised in Dade) and Joe Hollier for their remix of Twin Sister’s “Lady Daydream.” Been playing this lovely remix on MIAMI TIME and on my regular rotation show and the accompanying music video is beautiful.

Ben & Ashi on Miami Time (Monday 7-9pm)
By Laura (of Miami) Sutnick posted Jul 05, 2010 at 12:20 PM

This week Gio invites Ben & Ashi to Miami Time (Local’s Show every Monday from 7-9pm). Ben & Ashi are 20 years experience of damn good failed indie bands and karaoke. Pop tinged Americana duets more than a little inspired by The Guilded Palace of Sin, but more about love. Ashi is originally from Miami and they’re both back in town to play a live Nightdrive show Tuesday July 6th at Bar (alongside Raffa & Rainer). Click here for more info and some free mp3s,
