\o\ \o\ THE FRST EVER SEARCHPARTY SHOW  /o/ /o/

I never know what to say when people ask me what kinds of music I listen to because I am the WORST at categorizing music. Sometimes you’ll run into someone who say things like “I listen to progressive shoegaze, analog noise rock and on occasion folktronica” and all you can do is smile and nod cause you have no idea what they just said. You’re not alone. These are some weird genres and some of them are actually really good. My goal here on SEARCHPARY is to break down a different genre every week, give a brief history, what the genre derived from and who pioneered it.

This week, we covered #Miami bass (aka booty bass)

Looking For the Perfect Beat // Afrika Bombaataa & The Soulsonic Force (#Electrofunk)

Calle Ocho // Otto Von Schirach & The Miami Bass Warriors (#Miamibass)

Space Junk (MM Retouch Main) // DJ Magic Mike (#Miamibass)

Can U Feel The Bass // Bass Mekanik (#Miamibass)

Party People //  DR Richie Rich (#Miamibass)

Oh Ok Yeah That's Cool // Djemba Djemba (#UK Bass)

Something (Original Mix) // Naldo (#Miamibass/techno)

DJ Laz // Red Alert (GT Smith Remix) (#Miamibass)

Mr. Feathers // Sweaty and Dirty Preview (Electro Bass Smash Version) (#Miamibass)

CHALK. // Mkr (#newwave/bass)

Miami Noise & Bass // Nullality (#Miamibass/noise)

NEXT WEEK: #Seapunk
