SOUNDS IMPORTED SUNDAY DEC 6th

Sunday, December 06, 2009

by

This past Sunday we had a stellar performance from the amazing South Indian classical vocalist (and also UM audio engineering grad student) Krithika Rajagopal. Providing a stellar accompaniment for her on the Mridangam drum was her friend and fellow UM student Saheelan Sinnarajah. I’ll be posting mp3’s of the performance once I get them converted so look out for that. For now here are the songs that they performed in order:
1) Chalamelara – Rangasamy Nattuvanar
2) Vathapi Ganapathium – Muthuswami Dikshitar
3) Deva Deva – Swathi Thirunal
4) Chalamelara – Tyagaraja
5) Nidhichala Sukhama – Tyagaraja
6) Telisi Rama – Tyagaraja
7) Shiva Shiva – Tyagaraja
8 ) Chinnan Chisu – Bharathi
9) Samayamidhe – Patnam Subramanya Iyer
10) Thillana – G. N. Balasubramanya
11) Jayathi Jayathi – Mayuram Vishwanaata Shaastri
