From The Garage with Chris Palowitch: Wednesday, 11pm - Midnight

DIY. Music made by real people. Focused on giving listeners a sense of connection to the artist, almost like a new best friend, but ya know, you haven't met them or anything...but it'll be like that. We like to give opportunites to those artists who don't generally get the chance to be played on the radio. Focusing on Punk, HC, Indie/Alt/Math Rock, but if your stuff is truly DIY then go ahead and send it in! Occasionally featuring live local and touring bands in the studio playing their music, discussing their favorite artists, or DIY culture.

If you'd like to have your music played on the show, or would like to come in for a live set, please email me at FromTheGarageWVUM |AT| gmail.com. BOOOO FORM EMAILS PLEASE NO FORM EMAILS...be personal...we're people...thanks.

Left of the Dial with Brian Broderick Barnes: Mondays 3-4 PM

Left of the Dial pays tribute to the golden age of college radio: when bands could release a quirky hit single, hit the peak of their career, and maybe attain some regional success. Without blogs or corporate interests to support them, bands needed the grassroots voice of university radio stations to spread their music and influence. These bands, often still obscure, laid the groundwork for the current "indie" scene, and likely influenced almost every band you know and love in a profound way.

I want to take you back, back to the 1980's, when post-punk was blowing up, guitars were jangling, and alternative was just being invented. So put on your flannel, rock that asymmetrical haircut, and get androgynous. We're going Left of the Dial!
