Tune-in to Classical Lunch on Monday and Wednesday from 1-2PM as your host, Justin Pressman, presents two weeks of music featuring one of the greatest composers of the 20^th century, Béla Bartók. The Hungarian composer was one of the first ethnomusicologists, and his music is characterized by his use of eastern European folk rhythms, melodies and harmonies. The two-week festival will include many of Bartók’s most significant instrumental and operatic masterpieces and also feature complimentary works by Haydn, Ligeti, Kodály and Arvo Pärt.

Tune in on Monday at 1 p.m. for a special one-hour presentation of one of the most controversial and ground-breaking operas ever written: Salome.
