Im Nas and thats short for Nasser. My Alias in the audio world is DesertF!sh. A senior at UMiami, transferred from Geneva Switzerland to Miami my sophomore year.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is my home country, I reside in the costal town of Jeddah on the Red Sea.

My main hobby is Audio Production. That stems from my Gear Addiction Syndrome, which has given me the privilege of owning a home recording studio for my creative needs, and a collection of instruments vintage and new alike.
I like to produce electronic music of all genres. As far as i’m concerned all you need in life is a Synthesizer with PHAT BASS and a good acoustic palette, some good musicians to jam with, and the rest is smooth vibes!!!

Hello Miami. My name is Pete and I have returned to Miami from the salty shores of Massachusetts. I worked here at WVUM from 2005-2009 when I was an undergraduate at UM, hosting a delicious little slice of evening drive time on Thursdays. Well, apparently that wasn’t enough so I’m back for grad school and most importantly, more WVUM. Tune in for two hours of ///Pete’s Beats/// every Thursday afternoon from 5-7pm!

Savanna loves folk music, air conditioning, and avoiding crowds. According to a child she babysits, she is not a person or a giraffe but is, in fact, a chair.

I hope to spend the rest of my life helping others in whatever way I can. Every year I do humanitarian work in Peru, working with orphans, elderly, and basically anybody who needs love and care.

I am a Biologist who came to Miami for work, and found music… Started since June 2011 at WVUM, everything is internationally flavored in my music show, you just can’t escape the world here…I work at Everglades National Park and at UM I collaborate with scientists at the Dept. of Biology. I travel all over the world for music, teaching and research...

I love music for its ability to control your body in dance.

Every day, I live in awe of the tremendous, inspirational power that is music. I believe that some of the closest relationships I have in my life have been augmented, if not instigated, by the communion of music. As a WVUM DJ, I get to do exactly that: share the music that speaks to me with listeners from all over Miami, the United States, and even the world. I am predominantly a pianist/keyboardist, though I also play the guitar, bass guitar, and drums. I am a composer who specializes mostly in progressive rock, and it is my goal to make a career out of composing pieces for personal album releases, film soundtracks, video games, and just about anything else I can get my hands on. I also run an online music blog, Audio Intimacy (http://www.audiointimacy.wordpress.com), with the goal of promoting music from all genres for those who are constantly looking for something new.

I like music, a lot.

I’ve played piano since I was 6 and cello since I was 8. I took up guitar junior year of high school and played jazz bass for all of high school. I’ve never felt so perfect with what I decided to do with the rest of my life! Music therapy is where it’s at. I’m part of a metal band in NY, we’re called Tetrageddon. Check us out on Youtube!

My Full name is William. People tend to refer to me as Will. I'm very Will and have lots of Will-like qualities. I'm an expert in Williamery and have degrees in Williamology. I have been described as Williamesque and have been known to Williamize everyone and everything around me. Depending on my disposition I introduce myself as William, Willy, Willy B, Bill, Billiam, Billy, Billy B, Ralph or usually just Will. Old friends call me Huro or totally mispronounce my last name. But that's coolio. Besides that and a plethora of other nicknames, its understood by this time I basically respond to any noises that even closely resemble my name, hehe...Not sure exactly who first said the proverb, "Where there's a Will there's a way" but whoever it was know's whats up. Remember that a William saved is a William earned and when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, make sure it tastes sweet and then go listen to "The Jamtastic Voyage" every Sunday night!

Let me tell you something about WVUM DJ. We used to be best friends in 8th grade.

Zach D is a new DJ at WVUM. He’s still figuring things out. When he’s not in class, you can find him sleeping on his couch or, more likely, someone else’s couch. He’s that dude with the headphones.

Zoë has an obsession with Freelance Whales, but also enjoys many other types of music. Her favorite time to do laundry is midnight and her only pet peeve is those people who do not give new music a chance.
