—Began playing his current Instrument (Double Bass) during fifth grade, switching over from Cello which he played in fourth grade
—Attended New World School of the Arts for High School, graduating in June 2010
—Attended Hendrix College in Arkansas for one school year before transferring to the U
—Following in the footsteps of his father (A former DJ for WVUM), Benjamin became a DJ on 93.1 KHDX, Conway ‘The Ten-Watt tower of power!’ (Which was a total lie, because it was actually 5-watts and had a shorter range than a Hummer with a full tank of gas.
—Triumphantly returned to the U, becoming a DJ for WVUM over the summer
—Third Generation undergrad at the U

I was introduced to WVUM way back when in high school and to be honest I was not immediately a fan. I soon came to love it though and it’s continued to be the only radio station I’ll play in my car if I’m driving alone. Of course I had to come work for the station when I decided to go to UM and it’s quickly become my absolute favorite thing I do here at school. I talk about the station incessantly to people, whether they want to or not; I spill onto people the newest bands on the station, shows coming up, concerts and event we could go to, and my vision for the station in the future. I’m sure this is where I’m supposed to write about myself, but that all seems irrelevant unless I’m telling you about WVUM. Otherwise, I’m an all around amazing guy, plain simple. Music, concerts, reading, wasting time doing very dumb things with my friends, and getting into debates about topics I normally don’t even care about—these are my interests.Travel, philosophy, comedy, yadda yadda and so forth.

Oh and I host Indie-Finable as well, every Tuesday from 10pm-Midnight. Every week a different subgenre or label of Indie Rock with a bit of history to it too (as if I majored in such a thing!)

Described by one WVUM DJ as a “sparkle hurricane”, Brianne frequently rocks out in the studio’s spinny executive chair as she excitedly explores the cornucopia of music WVUM has to offer.  When she isn’t wearing large stylin’ silver headphones, sliding buttons and speaking into a microphone, Brianne can be found delighting in life’s various activities such as attending concerts, hugging puppies, cooking, going on adventures, enjoying nature, cutting hair and laughing. If she could, she would bake an epically awesome vegan chocolate chip cookie for every listener who kept it locked to the voice.

Bunny holds a degree in Music Production & Audio Engineering. She is an audiophile and has worked within the realms of the music industry for the majority of her adult life. She helps budding artists protect themselves and get their foot in the door. She is currently studying to become a lawyer for the industry.

Cameron McBroom-Fitterer was born and raised in South Florida. His last name is frighteningly long so he usually just shortens it to McBroom. He enjoys listening to, and playing, music (he plays violin and guitar), as well as drawing and very brief walks on the beach. He has an affinity for random trivia, apple is his favorite flavor of fruit juice, and he is convinced there will never be a video game as great as Ocarina of Time. That is all.

You would never expect Carolyn to be the host of the hardcore punk show on WVUM, but lo and behold, she digs that fast and loud sound, so don’t let appearances fool you! A Miami native, she joined WVUM the second she started college, and it has become her favorite activity. In her free time she eats hamburgers, watches horror movies, and looks for new music. Oh, her favorite movie is the Big Lebowski and she loves Chipotle. Yes, she is a bro.
