Shelley Rowley from Emporia State University and Ashlee Lien from SUNY College at Old Westbury joined us on air to engage in a conversation on how we can think about, question and dialogue about topics such as racism and privilege with the people in our own lives. We all have experienced difficult conversations that have gone well, and times where they have bred complicity, anger and distrust. Shelley and Ashlee brought their experiences as professors teaching issues of race and inequality and shared with us what they have learned about engaging in these conversations with different groups of people.
