2018 on 35mm
As a person that really loves going to concerts, this year I decided to buy a film camera. I had always been into photography but sometimes with venues its a little tricky trying to get a camera in. I also just like using the medium because its always fun snapping a photo but not getting to see how it turns out until you get them developed. This year I was fortunate enough to go to at least one concert every month and capture it in 35mm. It is always interesting when you get to see a band multiple times and see how the venue, concert-goers and the energy the artist brings changes and I got to see that with COIN, HFHW, and HUNNY. I also got the opportunity to interview HFHW and COIN and got a look behind the scenes to what makes their live shows so magical. If I had to make a top 5 of live shows I have been to this year they would be Brockhampton, COIN in February, HUNNY in March, Gus Dapperton, and Rico Nasty. I loved going to those shows because they were high in energy and you could tell that the artists were giving it their all. I am really looking forward to seeing what shows I go to next year but this year’s shows were one for the boys. So without further ado here is my year in review.
