Chantal
DJ Chan is BoJack Horseman fanatic from the DMV with a love for all things music. She spends too much time on Pinterest finding playlist covers and not enough time breathing between monologues. Catch her show “Kitchen Sink” on hump day at 4pm, where she plays all sorts of really good tunes (no genre is off limits) and chats about it.
Hunter
Hunter is a sophomore majoring in accounting from Connecticut. Come listen to his specialty show “Bluescape” every Friday from 5pm-6pm where he explores blues music through the decades. In addition to blues music, Hunter loves indie rock, 60s rock, and the Grateful Dead. In his free time you can find him playing the drums or his bass guitar and discovering new music.

Steffi
Steffi aka SDRV began her journey at WVUM with a rotation show in freshman year. She later hosted electronic music show "House of Fusion" and now makes appearances on the illustrious "EKL", mixing back to back with the host. SDRV is inspired by the local underground community and hopes to pay respect to the rave scene by curating eclectic mixes and showcasing Miami's finest artists.
Steph
Steph is a sophomore who still doesn't know want she wants to do but does know that she loves music. Her favorite thing to do is arts and crafts she thinks that every one should gaslight, gatekeep, and girlboss their way to personal success.
Sidney
He's just a dude majoring in Marine Biology and Ecology, who loves and appreciates all kinds of music, but especially latin jazz, jazz fusion, and samba de raiz (fav song: "Canta Canta, Minha Gente" by Martinho Da Vila"). He's currently the tenor sax player for the up and coming student band by the name of Rug (ig: @rug_band). He hosts a rotation show on Mondays from 6-7 pm!!
Pierre
Pierre aka DJ Andre GRUNT enjoys all music. Discovering new artists and listening to the waves taking place, feeling it helps reflect how society is changing. Pierre enjoys practicing and learning new instruments, striving to learn constantly. Raised in Miami, Pierre believes film and media can help change society at large. He wants to be in a position that highlights the constant struggles many veterans face daily, and make the public at large understand and start the process of making change for the better through creation of a forum for discussion. Pierre wants to become a producer someday, whether TV or film.
Alex
Alex hosts “Amore di plastico” @5pm every thursday. She loves heart wrenching music, strange movies and scrolling on pinterest. She thinks we should all romanticize our lives and never forget to tune in at 5!
Emily
Emily is WVUM's Training Director and the host of Studio 305, the station's resident disco show. She loves decorating (and redecorating) her apartment, overdressing for every event, going to concerts, and spending ten minutes trying to set the right ambiance before she does work. She also loves coffee and consumes a concerning amount, especially when she's on the air. Her favorite kind of music is either Korean R&B or funk and she worships her Prince '1999' vinyl, especially since she finally got a record player.
Jack
Jack is a senior studying Ecosystem Science & Policy. He thinks you should be yourself.
Paddy
Paddy, on air as Paddy On The Mic, is a law student from Miami, FL. He hosts "The Decades Show" on Fridays 3-5pm, playing a variety of a decades worth of music every week, going as far back as the 1920s, all the way up to the music of today! In his free time from law school, Paddy loves cooking, listening to records (a big fan of 70s and 80s new wave and progressive), and adventuring around South Florida.
Taryn
Taryn is an advertising major with a love for all things music. She is a sophomore from Philadelphia and will be playing laid back music during her time on air.
Rebecca
Rebecca is a screenwriting major here at the U. A writer first but a creative in general. If you ask her what she's watching it's probably a medical drama (she's got a problem) or she's rewatching Insecure (because that's bible and she's going to know her scripture). Her love for music is expansive. "I'll listen to anything once really and then possibly religiously." At the end of the day, she's always rooting for black artists and wants people to remember that she's an Alicia Keys stan (and that is her wife).
Aiden
Aidan is a freshman studying Economics and Political Science on the Pre-Law track. Despite hailing from the smallest state in the country, he has a big music taste, and can be found listening to just about anything. When not at the station, he enjoys skateboarding, sports, and concerts under $40. Catch him on air from 2-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Briggs
Briggs is an MFA student in the School of Communications motion pictures program, and has been with the station since his undergrad years. He hosts “Metal Revolution” Wednesday nights at 10PM, and appreciates metal and punk music, obscure 70’s & 80’s horror movies, and memes (mostly memes).
Eva
Eva Hochhaus is WVUM’s Program Director, a senior from Los Angeles studying music industry and jazz voice. She loves concerts, movie soundtracks, vintage clothing, and Thai food. Every other Thursday she hosts the Mountain Music Power Hour with fellow DJ Jack from 5-7pm! Tune in to hear the two play folk and country music and discuss its long-standing traditions.
Pujan
Pujan is from Ocala, FL (North Central FL) and they are a self-proclaimed hot pickle lover, avid book reader* (*more like book collector) , and graphic designer! They joined WVUM Fall 2021 and they dragged their best friend, Lani Pohl, with them. They host a rotation show every Thursday from 5 to 6pm where both of them handpick music that resonates with them the most. If there's one song that can sum up who Pujan is, it would be "A Pearl by Mitski" – or any Mitski song remotely damaging to their psyche.
Vania
Vania (pronounced like Tanya) is a Miami native studying jazz and film scoring. She was a senior at UM when she finally came to her senses and joined the station. When she's not writing music, you can find her drinking fancy coffee, procrasti-baking or hanging out with her grandma.
Nate
Nate aka Reshilaté is a house DJ from Los Angeles inspired by the likes of Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, and The Martinez Brothers. His favorite genres of music are Latin house, tech house, and organic house.
Annie
Annie is a sophomore majoring in marketing and minoring in music industry. Currently, she is learning how to DJ on the Pioneer Board and spends her time chilling with her roommates, listening to new house music or driving around with the top down on her car. Catch her on rotation probably playing some variant of surf rock or indie folk.
Hannah
Hannah is a senior pursuing communication studies, music industry, and psychology. She loves music (as most people do) and can see colors and/or entire visual sequences in her head when she listens to it. When she's not hosting her show, you can probably find her rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender, in class/studying, interning at the Adrienne Arsht Center, or at a meeting for one of her billion organizations. when she's on rotation, you can expect music created by artists of color (especially Black artists!) and good vibes all around.
Destiny
Destiny is a sophomore from DC (shoutout DMV!) who’s obsessed with kit kats, love island, and music! Come listen to her specialty show, Oscillation, where she plays both traditional and alternative rap, R&B, and soul every other Monday. In addition to those genres, she likes jazz, classic rock, and pop.
