Mercury Retrograde Playlist!

If you’re anything like me, you’ve noticed that a cyclical February slump seems to reign over this fateful second month of the year, every year. However, mid-February 2020 hosts a Mercury Retrograde (Feb 16-March 9), so this stress may appear to be doubled! Even if you don’t know anything about astrology, you’ve probably heard of this daunting, hyped-up season. By astrological belief, Mercury is the planet that controls communication, intellect, decision-making, and even transportation. Therefore, when Mercury is in retrograde (appears as if it is revolving the opposite way than is normal/expected), there may be feelings of imbalance, obstructions of clear communications and transportations, and just a whole lot of backwards emotions.

During this time, astrologists may recommend that you refrain from making too many huge decisions, getting back with an ex-lover, or even taking a big vacation (RIP Spring Break 2020, I guess), for these events may be fleeting and spur of the moment communication mishaps!

So, in order to help us all get through this topsy turvy season, I’ve made a little poppy, dreamy, and introspective playlist that may portray how we’re all having some trouble with decision-making, relationships, and even travel. “Enjoy the Silence,” dance around in your room, “Eat Salads Nows”, and take some time for yourself this retrograde season (and don’t ask your ex to “Come Ovr” like Sophie Meiers!!).
